NSW: Sydney man charged with terrorism offences

SYDNEY, Dec 4 AAP - A Sydney man has been charged with terrorism offences after police
reportedly seized a "jihad-style video" and learnt of an alleged threat by the man to
kill an ASIO officer.

A 20-year-old Condell Park man was charged last night over threats to a commonwealth
officer, it was reported.

ASIO had given information to the government that resulted in the man's passport application
being rejected.

Police said today a man had been charged with the commonwealth offence of committing
acts in preparation for a terrorist act and would appear in Bankstown Local Court today.

A media conference was scheduled to be held with NSW Deputy Commissioner Andrew Scipione.
