FED: Federal Court dismisses appeal against Cobb s sentence

CANBERRA, Feb 26 AAP - The Federal Court today dismissed an appeal against the sentence of
former MP Michael Cobb on travel rorts charges, saying the penalty was within the appropriate
range.

Cobb, 53, the former National Party member for the western New South Wales seat of Parkes,
was fined $14,000 and given a suspended two-year sentence after being found guilty of five
charges of imposing on the Commonwealth and one of fraud.
