NSW: Woman flees attempted abduction
SYDNEY, Dec 22 AAP - Police are searching for a man who attempted to abduct a woman
who was walking along a Sydney street.
The 40-year-old woman was on George Street, South Windsor, at 12.30pm (AEDT) on Tuesday
when she noticed a a white Ford Trader truck following her, police said.
Trailing her, the driver asked the woman four times to get into the vehicle as she
attempted to run away.
On the fourth occasion he pulled up beside her at an intersection and got out of the
car, but she managed to fight him off and he fled the scene.
The driver is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, aged between 50 and
55 years, 175cm tall, of stocky build, with short brown gelled hair.
He was last seen wearing a blue singlet and khaki shorts.
Police have urged caution to residents and visitors to the area as investigations continue.
